Find It on the No Worries Club Website: The Importance of Consistency When Working With Colts

Consistency is a key component to making progress with a horse. “I always tell people: When you’re training a horse, one of the most important things to remember is that consistency is your greatest ally and inconsistency is your greatest enemy,” Clinton says. “Horses learn best through repetition. The more consistent you are in both the way you cue your horse and how often you work with him, the faster he will progress through his training. Regularly working with your horse gives him a chance to understand what you are teaching and will help ensure that he remembers the lessons.”

Consistency is even more important when working with colts and establishing the foundation for their careers. In the vlog, “Colt Starting and Consistency,” Clinton shares his thoughts about why it’s important to be consistent with your colt.
