Ringo and Rowdy

You’d be hard pressed to find a cuter pair of brothers than Ringo and Rowdy. The two sorrel colts have plenty of chrome and share the same bloodlines – Epic Titan x Miss Brim Star. When Titan entered the breeding shed in 2018 after winning the Cactus Reining Classic and receiving reserve champion honors at the NRBC Open Derby, Clinton was first in line to breed to the stallion. Because the majority of his broodmares were daughters or granddaughters of Titan’s dam, Princess In Diamond, Clinton was limited on which of his mares he could breed to.

“Because Titan has so much natural ability and is so laidback and easygoing, he compliments any mare. I crossed him with Brimmie, who is a great-minded mare and has produced some good horses,” Clinton says.

Brimmie is a granddaughter of Grays Starlight, a stallion whose offspring have earned more than $8.2 million in the show pen. She won the 2006 Wimpys Little Step Open Derby and was an NRHA Futurity and Derby Finalist, earning $49,926 throughout her career. The breedings were done by embryo transfer with recipient mares carrying the foals to term. Ringo was born mid-March and Rowdy arrived at the end of April.

Ringo is owned by the Phillips Ranch and Rowdy is owned by Paul and Val Gober. “The foals are as cute as can be and are quick leaners,” Clinton shares. “We’re enjoying them and are excited about their futures.”
